Search for music in Music on Mac

Using Search in Music, you can quickly find music from your favourite categories, view your recent search history, and search Apple Music, your library or the iTunes Store.

Even if you don’t subscribe to Apple Music, you can search the catalogue, preview music and videos, and listen to Apple Music radio stations for free. (You must sign in to your Apple Account.)

Tip: An easy way to search is to simply describe what you’re looking for using natural language, such as “hit songs from films” or “nostalgic songs from the ’90s”.

The Apple Music window showing the search fields, the list of categories in the centre of the window, and Apple Music, Your Library and iTunes Store available in the top-right corner. Enter search criteria in the search field, then choose to search all of Apple Music, just your library or the iTunes Store.
