Edit your comps with Quick Swipe Comping in Logic Pro for iPad

Using Quick Swipe Comping in Logic Pro for iPad, you can edit a comp by changing the start or end point of selected take sections, by moving selected take sections to the left or right, or by alternating selected take sections between takes.

Edit the length of a take section

  • In Logic Pro, drag the start or end point of a take section to extend or shorten it.

Extending a take section shortens the adjacent take section. Shortening a take section extends the adjacent take section. This ensures that you don’t create silence between take sections.

Move a take section to the left or right

  • In Logic Pro, drag a take section to the left or right to a new position.

    Note: For shorter sections, be sure to drag from the middle of the section so that you don’t inadvertently resize it.

When you move a take section, any adjacent sections are extended or shortened.

Add an alternate take section to a comp

  • In Logic Pro, tap an unselected take section to make that particular take section active and part of the comp.

The same area is automatically deselected in the other take. This is a quick way to compare the same section of different takes.
