Get information about your Beats

If you need information about your Beats — including the model name, serial number and firmware version — you can look in Settings on your iPhone or iPad, in System Settings on your Mac or in the Beats app on an Android device.

Once your Beats settings are displayed, you can customise press-and-hold or end-call actions, turn off automatic ear detection, rename your device and more. See Customise controls on your Beats.

Before you begin, make sure your Beats are connected to your Apple or Android device. On an Android device, make sure you’ve installed the Beats app.

  • iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad, then tap the name of your Beats at the top of the screen.

  • Mac: Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click the name of your Beats in the sidebar.

  • Android device: Go to the Beats app . (If your connected device doesn’t appear, tap the menu button, then tap My Beats to display the device screen.)

For Beats Fit Pro, Powerbeats Fit, Powerbeats Pro 2, Beats Solo Buds or Beats Studio Buds +, the displayed serial number is specific to the charging case. Tap the serial number to display the serial number specific to the left earbud; tap again to display the serial number specific to the right earbud.

This guide is for Beats Fit Pro, Beats Flex, Beats Pill, Beats Solo 4, Beats Solo Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, Beats Studio Pro, Powerbeats Fit and Powerbeats Pro 2 on iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and visionOS 26, or later. This guide is also for the Beats app on Android.
