Duplicate pages or sections in Pages on iPad

You can quickly reuse content by duplicating a page (in a page layout document) or a section (in a word-processing document).

  1. Tap the View Options button in the toolbar, turn on Page Thumbnails, then tap the document to close the options.

  2. Tap to select the thumbnail of the page or section you want to duplicate.

    In a word-processing document, a background color appears behind all the pages in the same section.

  3. Tap the thumbnail again, then tap Duplicate in the shortcut menu.

    The duplicate page or section is added after original selection.

  4. To hide Page Thumbnails view, swipe left across the thumbnails.

Tip: You can also duplicate any portion of content (a single paragraph or page instead of a whole section, for instance) by copying and pasting the content into a new location.
