Set Ultrabeat MIDI controllers A-D in Logic Pro for Mac

The MIDI Controller Assignments area lets you assign any MIDI controller shown in the menus to each of the four controller slots—Ctrl A, B, C, or D.

These assignments enable external MIDI controller hardware—such as sliders, knobs, aftertouch, or the modulation wheel of your MIDI keyboard—to control via modulation sources in Ultrabeat.

Assign a controller

  • In Logic Pro: Click a Ctrl A–D pop-up menu, then choose the controller name or number that you want to use.

Learn a MIDI controller assignment

  1. In Logic Pro, open the control menu (Ctrl A–D) that you want to assign, then choose the Learn menu item.

  2. Move the controller on your MIDI keyboard or MIDI controller unit.

Nota: If no suitable MIDI message is received within 20 seconds, the selected control reverts to the previous value/assignment.
