Discover and share music with friends in iTunes on PC

After you create an Apple Music profile and add friends, you can connect with those friends to share your music and see what they’re listening to.

Show the music you’re listening to

  1. In the iTunes app on your PC, create a playlist.

  2. Choose Music from the pop-up menu at the top left, then click Library.

The Library button in the navigation bar.
  3. Select the playlist in the sidebar.

  4. Above the list of songs in the playlist, select “Publish on profile and in search.”

To stop showing a playlist, make sure “Publish on profile and in search” is not selected.

See what your friends are listening to

  1. In the iTunes app on your PC, choose Music from the pop-up menu at the top left, then click For You.

The For You button in the navigation bar.

If you don’t see For You, sign in to Apple Music using your Apple ID if you’re not already signed in.

  2. Click the My Account button (looks like a photo or monogram) in the top-right corner of the window, then click a person’s profile picture to see what they’re listening to.
