What’s new in Compressor 4.6.1
Compressor 4.6.1 introduces new features and enhancements, detailed below.
System requirements
The minimum system requirement for Compressor 4.6.1 is macOS 11.5.1. To pass through metadata from Cinematic mode video, macOS Monterey 12 is required. For more information, go to the Final Cut Pro Tech Specs webpage, then click Compressor at the top of the page.
Rotate transcoded media
A new Rotation property in the Video settings lets Compressor rotate the transcoded output file. See Cropping, Padding, and Rotation properties for the various built-in settings. See Intro to advanced adjustments in Compressor.
Change preview area background
The preview area’s new View menu lets you choose how you view the preview area background behind source media files with transparent backgrounds. See Preview jobs in Compressor.
