Prevent contacts from communicating with you on Mac

On Mac you can easily block contacts from being able to communicate with you across Phone, Messages, and FaceTime.

Block a contact

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Privacy & Security in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

  2. Click Blocked Contacts, then click the Add button.

  3. Select a contact to block in Contacts, then scroll down and click Block Contact.

Unblock a contact

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Privacy & Security in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

  2. Click Blocked Contacts.

  3. Select a contact to unblock, then click the Remove button.
