Authorize

The process of allowing a computer to play iTunes Store purchases. You can authorize up to five computers at a time using your Apple ID (or Apple Account) and password. Authorization helps protect the copyrights of the purchased item.

Note: A computer can play iTunes Plus songs without authorization.

You can also authorize up to three computers to play your Audible website purchases.
