Locate photos and videos by media type on iPhone

In the Photos app, you can find collections of photos and videos organized by media type. For example, browse all your Portrait mode photos or time-lapse videos in one place.

Browse photos and videos by media type

Go to the Photos app on your iPhone.
Tap Collections, scroll down, then tap Media Types.
Tap the type of photo or video you want to view.

Tip: To quickly locate your favorite media type, add it to the Pinned collection. See Pin collections and albums.

Reorder media types

You can reorder the list of media types to help you find the ones you access most often.

Go to the Photos app on your iPhone.
Tap Collections, scroll down, then tap Media Types.
Tap Edit, touch and hold the collection you want to move, then drag it to a new position.
To undo your changes, tap Reset.
