Multi-Touch gestures in iMovie on Mac

If you have a Magic Trackpad, or a Mac with a Multi-Touch trackpad, you can use a Multi-Touch gesture to expand or contract the timeline view.

Expand or contract the timeline view

  1. In the iMovie app on your Mac, click anywhere in the timeline.

  2. Pinch two fingers closed to contract the scale of the timeline, or pinch open to expand the scale of the timeline.
