Organize places with custom guides in Maps on Mac

A guide called Favorites always appears in your guides, which makes it easier for you to save and find places.

1. Go to the Maps app on your Mac.

2. Click Guides in the sidebar, then click Favorites.

   If you don’t see the sidebar, click .

1. Go to the Maps app on your Mac.

2. Click Guides in the sidebar, then click .

3. Name the guide, then click to add an image to represent the guide, choose a photo, click Use, then click .

4. Click to open the guide, then click .

5. Select a recent place or search for one to add to your guide, then click Done.

6. Click near the bottom, then do any of the following:

   • Rename the guide: Select the name “New Guide,” then type a new name.

   • Add a cover image: Click , then choose an image from your photo library.

7. Click .

1. Go to the Maps app on your Mac.

2. Click a location on a map.

3. In the place card, click , choose Add to Guides, choose one of your guides, then click .

1. Go to the Maps app on your Mac.

2. Click Guides in the sidebar, then click a guide.

3. Do any of the following:

   • Remove a place: Click , then click Delete from Guide.

   • Rearrange the list: Click at the bottom of the list, choose Date Added, Name, or Distance, then click .

   • Rename the guide: Near the bottom of the guide card, click , select the current name and enter a new one, then click .

   • Change the guide cover photo: At the bottom of the guide card, click , click , choose a photo, click Move and Scale to crop or enlarge it, then click Use.

1. Go to the Maps app on your Mac.

2. Click Guides in the sidebar.

3. Do one of the following:

   • On a trackpad, swipe left with two fingers on the guide you want to delete, then click Delete.

   • Click , select the guide you want to delete, click , then click Delete.

1. Go to the Maps app on your Mac.

2. Click Guides in the sidebar.

3. Click next to the guide you want to share, then choose how you want to share it.
