Manage music recommendations on Apple TV 4K

Recommendations in the Music app are informed by your listening history (which you can turn off in Settings). You can also influence recommendations with the Favourite and Suggest Less buttons.

Note: This feature requires an Apple Music subscription.

Favourite an item to get more music like this

When you mark an item as a favourite, similar music gets recommended more often.

  1. Go to the Music app on Apple TV 4K.

  2. Do any of the following:

    • Navigate to a song, album, playlist or music video, press and hold the clickpad or touch surface, then select Favourite.

    • Go to an artist profile, then select the Favourite button in the upper-right corner.

    • Select an album or playlist, select the More button, then select Favourite.

    • Navigate to the Now Playing screen, show playback controls, select the More button, then select Favourite.

An item you’ve marked as a Favourite appears in the Music app with a star next to it. You can also filter items in your library categories to show only your Favourites.
