Expand or collapse actions in an Automator workflow on Mac
If you want to see more actions in a workflow, you can collapse the actions. Collapsing an action hides the contents of the action, but leaves the name visible. If you want to see details of the action you can expand it again.
In the Automator app
on your Mac, click the arrow 
next to the action’s name to collapse the action; click the arrow again to expand it.You can also collapse or expand all actions in a workflow by holding down the Option key and clicking the arrow
in the title bar of an action.
