Import media on your Mac into the Apple TV app
If you have video files on your computer, you can import them into the Apple TV app so they appear in your media library.
Go to the Apple TV app
on your Mac.Choose File > Import.
Locate a file or folder, then click Open.
When you add a folder, all the files it contains are added to your library.
Tip: You can also drag a file or folder from the Finder to any category in the Library (or to the Library area in the sidebar).
By default, the Apple TV app places a copy of each video file in the Movies/TV folder in your home folder and leaves the original file in the current location.
