Explore places with Guides in Maps on Mac
Guides are available to help you discover great places around the world to eat, shop, and explore. Guides are automatically updated when new places are added, so you always have the latest recommendations.
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.Do one of the following:
Move the map to the area you’re interested in, click the search field, then click a guide that appears below Guides We Love. Click See All to see more options.
If you don’t see the search field, click
.Click a place name on the map (such as a country or large city), scroll down in the place card, then click a guide. On a trackpad, swipe left with two fingers to see more options.
With a guide showing, do any of the following:
Save a place: Click
(shown next to the location).Save the guide: Click Add to Guides below the guide’s title.
To see your saved guides, click Guides in the sidebar.
Share the guide: Click Share below the guide’s title, then choose an option.
Find locations and recommendations: Scroll down in the guide, then click an entry to see it on the map.
Close the guide: Click
.See related guides: Click
, then choose See All Guides.
Tip: If you like a guide, you can see more made by that publisher. From a guide, click , then choose See Publisher’s Guides.
