Customize the Photos app on iPad

You can remove, reorder, and pin collections to organize them the way you want.

Reorder or hide collections

You can change the order of collections in the Photos app so the collections you use most frequently appear first, below the photo grid. For example, if you frequently view your Shared Albums, you can move them above other collections. You can also hide any collections you don’t want displayed.

  1. Go to the Photos app on your iPad.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, then tap Customize & Reorder.

  3. Drag a collection into a new position or deselect it to hide it.

To undo your changes tap Reset.

  4. Tap the close.

Pin a collection

You can choose what albums and collections appear in Pinned Collections, to make them easy to find.

  1. Go to the Photos app on your iPad.

  2. Scroll down, then tap Modify next to Pinned Collections.

  3. Do any of the following:

    • Remove a pinned collection: Tap the remove button, then tap Delete.

    • Reorder pinned collections: Touch and hold a pinned collection, then drag it to a new position.

Note: The collections with the remove button next to them are currently in your pinned collections. The collections with the Add button next to them are not yet pinned.

  4. Tap the close.
