Clip Length project settings in Logic Pro for Mac

In Logic Pro, the MIDI project settings contain the following Clip Length settings:

With the checkboxes in the Clip Length settings, you can select for which type of MIDI events Logic Pro for Mac sends a default value when the playback reaches the end of a region. A reset message is only sent if the corresponding event type is present in the region and was sent during playback.

  • Aftertouch to zero checkbox: Sets the Aftertouch (channel pressure) MIDI message to zero at the end of the MIDI region.

  • Pitch Bend to center position checkbox: Sets the Pitch Bend MIDI message to the center position at the end of the MIDI region.

  • Control 1 (Modulation) to zero checkbox: Sets the Control 1 (Modulation) MIDI message to zero at the end of the MIDI region.

  • Control 2 (Breath Control) to zero checkbox: Sets the Control 2 (Breath Control) MIDI message to zero at the end of the MIDI region.

  • Control 4 (Foot Control) to zero checkbox: Sets the Control 4 (Foot Control) MIDI message to zero at the end of the MIDI region.

  • Control 11 (Expression) to max checkbox: Sets the Control 11 (Expression) MIDI message to its maximum value at the end of the MIDI region.

Note: You can turn off this function for each region individually by deselecting the Clip Length checkbox in the Region inspector.
