Xsan device management payload settings for Apple devices
You can configure Xsan settings for users of a Mac that enrolls in a device management service.
The Xsan payloads support the following. For more information, see Payload information.
Supported payload identifiers: com.apple.xsan, com.apple.xsan.preferences
Supported operating systems and channels: macOS device.
Supported enrollment methods: Device Enrollment, Automated Device Enrollment.
Duplicates allowed: False—only one com.apple.xsan Xsan payload can be delivered to a device. True—more than one com.apple.xsan.preferences Xsan payload can be delivered to a device.
You can use the settings in the table below with the Xsan payloads.

Automatic mounts | Allow or deny specific Xsan volumes that mount automatically. A user with administrator privileges can mount any Xsan volume using the | No |
Use Distributed LAN Client (DLC) | Allow the use of DLC to mount any Xsan volumes. | No |
List preferred Xsan volumes | Specify Xsan volumes that can be mounted with DLC. | No |
Deny specific Xsan volumes | Specify Xsan volumes that can’t be mounted with DLC. | No |
