Adjust settings for Siri on Apple TV 4K

You can set a language for Siri, delete your Siri and dictation history, show a transcription of your voice onscreen, and more.

  1. Go to Settings on Apple TV 4K.

  2. Go to General, navigate down to the Siri section, select Siri, then adjust any of the settings below.

    Option

    Description

    Siri

    Turn Siri on or off on this Apple TV 4K.

    Siri Language

    Select to choose what language you want Siri to use.

    Listen for “Hey Siri” on AirPods

    Turn on to allow AirPods to listen for “Hey Siri” when supported headphones are connected.

    On AirPods Pro 2 only, select Listen on AirPods, then select “Siri” or “Hey Siri” for both options, or “Hey Siri”.

    Siri & Dictation History

    Select to delete all Siri and dictation history associated with this Apple TV 4K from Apple servers.

    Always Show Speech

    Select to show a transcription of your speech onscreen when using Siri.

    Onscreen Actions

    Select to use your voice to select items onscreen. When this is enabled, you can press the Siri/Search button on your remote and say the name of an onscreen control to select it.

    Use with Ask Siri

    Select to choose which apps to use with Siri. You may need to adjust an app’s settings to allow them to access Siri first.
