Change or turn off all notifications from FaceTime on Mac

You can control the types of notifications you receive for FaceTime calls or turn off FaceTime notifications altogether.

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Notifications in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

    Open Notifications settings for me

  2. Click FaceTime on the right, then do one of the following:

    • Change notifications: Set options, such as the style of notifications or where to show them. To learn about the options, click the Help button in the bottom of the window.

    • Turn off all notifications from FaceTime: Turn off “Allow notifications.”

Note: To display notifications from FaceTime when a Focus is on, you must allow the notifications to appear. See Set up a Focus.
