HotSpot 2.0 device management settings for Apple devices
You can configure HotSpot 2.0 settings for users of an iPhone or iPad, or Apple TV that enrolls in a device management service. HotSpot 2.0 settings permit the device to automatically connect to specified HotSpot 2.0 Wi-Fi networks. The settings in the following table need to match the requirements of the HotSpot 2.0 network.
You can use the settings in the table below with the Wi-Fi or Ethernet payloads.

Provider Display Name | Enter the name you want displayed for the HotSpot 2.0 network. | Yes |
Domain Name | The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the HotSpot 2.0 service provider. | Yes |
Roaming Consortium OIs | Enter a series of digits corresponding to one of the service provider’s HotSpot 2.0 network. | Yes |
Network Access Identifier (NAI) Realm Names | Enter the known NAI realm names. | Yes |
Mobile Country Code (MCC) and Mobile Network Code (MNC) | Enter the digital codes for both the MCC and the MNC. | Yes |
Connect to roaming partner HotSpot 2.0 networks | Specify whether to connect to additional HotSpot 2.0 networks preapproved by the service provider. | No |
Hidden Network | Specify whether the network that the device connects to is broadcasting its identity. | No |
Auto Join | Specify whether to automatically join the network without notifying users. | No |
Disable captive network detection (iOS, iPadOS) | Users won’t have an opportunity to join networks that require agreements or other information prior to network access. | No |
Security Type | Select an authentication method for the network. Connections are allowed only to networks that support the type you select. You can choose:
Choose Any to permit connections to networks that support any of the supported protocols. | Provider Display Name (required) |
Password | Enter the password for joining the HotSpot 2.0 network, if applicable. If you leave this blank and the network requires a password, users are asked to enter it the first time a connection is established. The per-connection password option prevents caching of the user’s password. | Provider Display Name (required) |
