Change street address formats in Contacts on Mac

If you have contacts from different countries or regions, you can change the format of their street addresses to match their locations, to help correctly map the addresses. You can also change the default address format to use for all contacts.

Change the street address format for one contact

  1. Go to the Contacts app on your Mac.

  2. Select a contact, then click Edit.

  3. Click a street address label (such as Home), choose Change Address Format, then select the country or region that matches the address.

Change the street address format for all contacts

  1. Go to the Contacts app on your Mac.

  2. Choose Contacts > Settings, then click General.

  3. Click the Address Format pop-up menu, then choose a country or region.
