Change the Notes view on iPad

You can change how your notes appear in the Notes app. Add lines or grids to your notes, view your notes as a list or a gallery, and see all the attachments in one place.

Change the Notes display on your iPad

  • View a note in full-screen: While viewing a note in landscape orientation, tap the Enter Full Screen button or turn iPad to portrait orientation.

  • See your accounts, notes list, and selected note all at once: Turn iPad to landscape orientation, then tap the Toggle Sidebar button.

Show lines or grids in notes

  • In an existing note: Tap the Note Actions button, tap Lines & Grids, then choose a style.

  • In all new notes: Go to Settings  > Apps > Notes, tap Lines & Grids, then choose a style.

View notes as a list or gallery

In the notes list, tap the Folder Actions button, then tap View as List or View as Gallery.

View all attachments

In the notes list, tap the Folder Actions button, then tap View Attachments.
