Manage notifications
You can choose whether to receive notifications for book recommendations, Book Club updates, and reading goals.
Receive or stop notifications
Go to the Books app
on your Mac.Choose Account > View Account, then click Notifications.
Do one of the following:
Receive notifications for a category: Select the checkbox for a category. If checkboxes are dimmed, click Allow Notifications on This Mac, then turn on “Allow notifications.”
Stop notifications: Deselect the checkbox for a category.
Close the Notifications window.
Change or turn off all notifications
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)Click Books, then do one of the following:
Change notifications: Set options, such as the style of notifications to receive or where to show them. For more information about the options, click
in the bottom-right corner.Turn off all notifications from Books: Turn off “Allow notifications.”
Note: To display notifications from Books when a Focus is on, you must allow the notifications to appear. See Set up a Focus.
