Share songs from Music with other apps on Mac

You can share a variety of content on Apple Music including songs, albums, radio stations, and playlists from the Music app through apps like Mail and Messages. Or you can copy a link or HTML code, which will open the item in Apple Music on the web.

Open Music for me

  1. Go to the Music app on your Mac.

  2. Find a song, album, or playlist in your library or an item (such as a radio station) in Apple Music.

  3. Select the item, then click the More button.

4. Choose Share, then choose any of the sharing options:

    • Copy Link: Copies the link to the Clipboard. When you click the link, the music opens in Apple Music on the web.

    • Mail: Copies the link to an email you can send.

    • Messages: Copies the link to a text message you can send.

    • Notes: Copies the link to an existing or new note.

    • Freeform: Copies the link to an existing or new board.

    • Copy Embed Code: Copies the HTML code to the Clipboard. You can paste this code into a webpage, for example, and when you click the link, the music opens in Apple Music on the web.

Not all options described above appear for all items.
