Intro to Synth Player styles in Logic Pro for iPad

In Logic Pro for iPad, the Synth Players are electronic Bass Player and Keyboard Player styles. The Synth Bass Player styles are 808 Bass, Pump Bass, and Sequenced Bass. The Synth Keyboard Player styles are Rhythmic Chords, Modulated Pad, and Simple Pad. You load Synth Player styles in the Session Player Editor the same way as other Session Player styles.

In addition to many of the common settings available for all Session Players, there are settings unique to each of the Synth Players. These include settings for LFO, envelope, and slides, depending on what Synth Player style you use.

When you choose a Synth Player style in the Session Player Editor, the patch loaded uses the Alchemy plug-in to generate sound. However, you can use Synth Players with any software instrument plug-in or external MIDI tone generators. For more information see, Alchemy, Use virtual MIDI devices and External Instrument.

There are Synth Player loops in the Browser that you can add to your project the same way as other loops. Some of the Synth Player loops use a software instrument plug-in other than Alchemy. See Add Apple Loops to your project.
