The FALSE function returns the Boolean value FALSE. This function is included for compatibility with tables imported from other spreadsheet apps.

Notes

  • The FALSE function does not have any arguments. However, you must include the brackets.

  • Instead of using the FALSE function, you can specify a Boolean value of FALSE by simply typing FALSE (or false) into a cell or as a function argument.

Examples

=FALSE() returns the Boolean value FALSE.

=AND(1, FALSE()) returns the Boolean value FALSE.
