Automatically download apps purchased on other devices

Automatically download apps that you purchased from the App Store on other Mac computers and devices (supported iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS apps only).

You must be signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you used to purchase the apps.

Automatically download in-app content

Have any extra content needed to use all the features of an installed app or game automatically downloaded in the background, while you’re doing other things on your Mac. After initial installation, the app or game loads additional content behind the scenes.

Automatically download apps larger than 1 GB to an external APFS-formatted hard drive of your choice.

Note: Large apps can only be downloaded and installed to an Apple File System (APFS) formatted disk.
