Select regions in the Logic Pro Audio Track Editor

You can select one or more regions in the Audio Track Editor, select regions meeting certain criteria, and select sections inside regions using the Marquee Tool. The cursor automatically changes into the Marquee Tool in the lower half of the Audio Track Editor, except for the lower-right and lower-left corner of regions, when the cursor changes to a trim pointer.

Select a region

  • In Logic Pro, click a region in the Audio Track Editor.

Select multiple regions

In Logic Pro, do one of the following:

  • Hold down Shift as you click the regions.

  • Drag across the regions.

Select the previous or next region on the track

In Logic Pro, do one of the following:

  • To select the previous region: Choose Edit > Select > Previous Region.

  • To select the next region: Choose Edit > Select > Next Region.

Select all following regions on the track

  • In Logic Pro, choose Edit > Select > All Following of Same Track.

Select all regions on the track

  • In Logic Pro, click the track header in the Tracks area.

Select content inside regions using the Marquee Tool

  • In the lower half of the Logic Pro Audio Track Editor, drag across the material that you wish to select with the Marquee Tool.
