Manage notifications from Notes on Mac
In Notes on your Mac, control the types of notifications you receive about activity on shared notes, or turn them off altogether.
Manage notifications for a shared note
To choose whether you receive activity notifications for shared notes, do one of the following:
To stop receiving activity notifications for a specific shared note: Control-click the shared note, choose Manage Shared Note, then select “Hide alerts.”
To stop receiving activity notifications for all shared notes: Choose Notes > Settings, then deselect “Allow mention notifications.”
Change or turn off all notifications from Notes
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)Click Notes in the list on the right, then do one of the following:
Stop receiving notifications from Notes: Turn off Allow Notifications.
Change notifications: Set options, such as the style of notifications to receive or where to show them. For more information about the options, click
at the bottom right.
Note: To display notifications from Notes when a Focus is on, you must allow the notifications to appear. See Set up a Focus.
