Print and export entries in Journal on Mac

In the Journal app, you can print, export, and back up your entries.

Open Journal for me

Print a single journal entry

  1. Go to the Journal app on your Mac.

  2. Choose a journal or click All Entries.

  3. Scroll to the entry you want to print, then click the More button below the entry.

  4. Click Print.

Print multiple journal entries

  1. Go to the Journal app on your Mac.

  2. Choose a journal or click All Entries.

  3. Go to File > Print.

  4. Choose All Entries or select a date range, then click Print.

    You can also Shift-click to select multiple entries, then Control-click an entry and choose Print.

Export a single journal entry to PDF

  1. Go to the Journal app on your Mac.

  2. Choose a journal or click All Entries.

  3. Scroll to the entry you want to export, then click the More button below the entry.

  4. Click Print, then click PDF.

Export multiple journal entries to PDF

  1. Go to the Journal app on your Mac.

  2. Go to File > Export, then choose Export.

    You can also Shift-click to select multiple entries, Control-click any entry, choose Print, then click PDF.
