Change Files preferences in the Apple TV app on Mac
In the Apple TV app on your Mac, use the Files pane in TV preferences to set and organize your Media folder.
To change these preferences, choose TV > Preferences, then click Files.
Option | Description |

Media folder location | To change where movies and shows you import into the Apple TV app are located, click Change. To change back to the original location for files (Movies/TV/Media/), click Reset. |
Keep Media folder organized | Select this checkbox to automatically put imported videos into folders for the Apple TV app. |
Copy files to Media folder when adding to library | Select this checkbox to copy an item to the Media folder when you drag the item to the Apple TV app window or choose File > Add to Library. If you want items to appear in the Apple TV app but also remain in their original location, deselect this checkbox. For example, you can keep home videos imported from DVDs on your computer and save your video files on an external storage device. Pressing and holding the Option key while dragging an item to the Apple TV app window temporarily reverses the current checkbox setting. |
Automatically delete watched movies and TV shows | Select this checkbox to have movies and TV shows automatically deleted after you play them. |
