Talk to your Apple TV

Siri makes interacting with Apple TV easy, fun, and informative. You can search for movies, TV shows, music, or apps; find actors or directors you like; control playback; open your apps; and even ask about sports, weather, and stocks—no matter what’s happening onscreen.

Siri doesn’t talk back to you on Apple TV like it does on iPhone and other devices, but it’ll carry out your request and display the results onscreen.

Dictate instead of type

Whenever you see a text entry field, you can use your voice instead of using the onscreen keyboard.

  • Press and hold the Siri button Siri button on the Siri Remote and say the text you want to enter. You can even speak individual characters—for example, when entering user names and passwords.
