Select patch settings in the MainStage Patch Library

When you open a concert or select a patch, the Patch Library opens in the Patch Settings Inspector below the workspace. The Patch Library contains a variety of patches optimized for the instrument the concert is designed for. You can quickly audition patches in the Patch Library. You can also search for patch settings by name.

Open the Patch Library

  • In MainStage, select a patch in the Patch List.

The Patch Settings Inspector opens to the Patch Library tab.

Select a patch in the Patch Library

  1. In MainStage, look through the settings in the Patch Library to find the one you want to use.

  2. Click the patch setting.

You can start playing the patch immediately using the selected patch setting.

Search for patch settings by name

  1. In MainStage, press Command-F to open the Find a Patch search field.

  2. Enter the name of the patch setting you want to find.

  3. Click Find.

The first patch setting with the text you entered appears selected in the Patch Library.

  4. To find subsequent patch settings with the same name, choose Find Next in Library from the Action pop-up menu .

Note: If you have saved multiple patches using the Save as Set command (previously called Export as Set in MainStage 1.0) in the Patch List Action pop-up menu, the saved file appears as a patch in the Patch Library unless you have selected a different location for saving the file. Clicking the saved file in the Patch Library causes an alert to appear when the individual patches are opened from the .patch file.
