Download, save, remove, and share podcast episodes on iPad

In the Podcasts app, you can download, save, and share podcast episodes.

Download an episode

Go to the Podcasts app on your iPad.
Search or browse to find a show.
Tap the show to see its information page.
Swipe left on an episode, then tap .
You can also tap under an episode, then tap Download Episode.

Save an episode

Go to the Podcasts app on your iPad.
Search or browse to find a show.
Tap the show to see its information page.
Swipe left on an episode, then tap .
You can also tap under an episode, then tap Save Episode.

When you save an episode, it’s automatically downloaded so you can listen to it offline. To turn off this option, go to Settings > Apps > Podcasts, then turn off Download When Saving.

Remove a saved episode

Go to the Podcasts app on your iPad.
In the sidebar, below Library, tap Saved, then tap a show.
Swipe left on an episode, then tap Unsave.
You can also remove a saved episode while looking at an episode list or the episode’s information page. Tap , then tap Unsave Episode.

Remove a downloaded episode

Go to the Podcasts app on your iPad.
In the sidebar, below Library, tap Downloaded, then tap a show.
Swipe left on an episode, then tap Remove Download.
You can also remove a downloaded episode while looking at the episode list or the episode’s information page. Tap , then tap Remove Download.

Remove all downloaded episodes from a show

Go to the Podcasts app on your iPad.
In the sidebar, below Library, tap Shows, then tap a show to see its information page.
Tap , then tap Remove Downloads.

Remove all downloaded episodes

Go to the Podcasts app on your iPad.
In the sidebar, below Library, tap Downloaded.
Tap , then tap Remove All Downloads.

Share a podcast show or episode

Go to the Podcasts app on your iPad.
Search or browse to find a show.
Tap the show to see its information page. If you want to share a specific episode, tap the episode.
Tap near the top right, then tap Share Show or Share Episode.
Optionally, specify the starting time for a shared episode. Tap From Start, then choose From [time].
The shared episode starts from where you’re listening when you tap Share.
Choose how to share the show or episode.
