Create regions in the Tracks area in Logic Pro for iPad

You can create an empty MIDI region or pattern region, or create a Session Player region with a default pattern on a software instrument track, then edit the region.

Create an empty MIDI region

  1. In Logic Pro, select the software instrument track.

  2. Tap the background, then tap Create MIDI Region.

    An empty region is created at the position where you tap.

Create an empty pattern region

  1. In Logic Pro, select the software instrument track.

  2. Tap the background, then tap Create Pattern Region.

    An empty region is created at the position where you tap.

Create a Session Player region

  1. In Logic Pro, select the software instrument track.

  2. Tap the background, then tap Create Session Player Region.

    A region with a default preset is created at the position where you tap.
