Intro to editing an assignment in Learn MIDI in Logic Pro for iPad
With Learn MIDI in Logic Pro for iPad, you can edit an assignment’s details to make advanced control assignments. You do this in the Edit Assignment view of the Learn MIDI dialog.
The Edit Assignment view contains the following settings for the selected assignment:
Logic Pro control: Displays the name of the assigned control in Logic Pro. For channel strip and track header assignments, track information is also shown. See Set a Learn MIDI assignment to pinned or focused.
MIDI control: Displays the MIDI message, the MIDI channel, and the name of the MIDI device for the assignment. See Edit the MIDI control settings with Learn MIDI.
Value: Displays the value behavior of the assignment. Logic Pro automatically detects the behavior of certain MIDI controls and applies a default configuration depending on the assignment’s control. You can change the detected behavior by editing the value behavior. See Edit the behavior of continuous control assignments, Edit the behavior of relative encoder assignments, and Edit the behavior of button and switch.
MIDI Feedback: Send visual feedback for supported MIDI controllers. See Visual feedback for MIDI devices.
Delete Assignment button: Delete the assignment. See Delete a Learn MIDI assignment.
