Add pages in Pages on iPad

In a word-processing document, a new page is automatically added as your typing reaches the end of a page. You can also add a new page manually. In page layout documents, you can only add pages manually.

Note: To determine which type of document you have, see word-processing and page layout documents.

  1. Go to the Pages app on your iPad.

  2. Open a document.

  3. In Page Thumbnails view, tap the page you want the new page to follow, then tap the New Page button.

    If there are other page templates for the template, choose the one you want to add; otherwise a blank page is automatically added.

In a word-processing document, you can also add a page break anywhere to start the next line on a new page. To add a page break, tap the Insert button in the shortcut bar, then tap Page Break.
