Alchemy interface overview in MainStage
View buttons: Alchemy has three main views. You access each view by clicking these buttons. Each view is designed for different tasks and situations.
All views feature the Name bar at the top and the Perform section at the bottom. See Alchemy Name bar in MainStage and Alchemy performance controls in MainStage.
The Perform section of the interface is shared with the Arpeggiator and Effects panes. Click the Perform, Arp, or Effects buttons to view the parameters of each pane.
Tip: For users running in Controls view, all parameters are available. This includes menu commands and options such as those accessed from the File button at the top of the graphical interface, the synthesis import modes in the Import window, Modulation menus, the Source file menu, and Spectral effects menu.
Browse button: Browse view is ideal for performance or exploration and for use of presets when composing. The Preset browser displays all available presets and offers a powerful search engine. The Perform section, located beneath the Preset browser, features a number of real-time controls that you can map to almost any Alchemy parameter.

Simple button: When simple view is turned on, Alchemy provides a compact interface ideal for live performance.
Advanced button: Advanced view is particularly useful for creating new sounds or manipulating existing presets. This view unlocks all Alchemy synthesis, modulation, and editing capabilities.
