I had a similar problem. It was solved doing the following :.

  • Move eclipseEclipse to program files Program Files (not to program files (x86)Program Files (x86)).
  • removeRemove the path to the 32 bit-bit version of javaJava from the 'path' environment variable.

I have both versionversions of javaJava installed, but Eclipse kept trying to use the 32 bit-bit one.
