Rembrandt Peale
Rembrandt Peale (February 22, 1778 – October 3, 1860) was an American artist. He is known for his portrait art. He was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. His parents were Rachel Brewer and Charles Willson Peale. His father was also an artist.[1]
Peale painted more than 600 paintings. He painted many important people, such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Marshall and John C. Calhoun. His art is in many museums. In 1814, Peale made his own museum in Baltimore named the Peale Museum.[2] Peale died in Philadelphia in 1860.[3]
