LOLCODE is an esoteric language created by Adam Lindsay in 2007. It was inspired by the lolcat phenomenon which began a year earlier. LOLCODE uses intentionally grammatically incorrect text known as lolspeak, a humorous imagining of what a cat might say if it could speak something resembling English.
Here is an example program that prints the numbers 0 through 9 to standard output:
