Radio Bijelo Polje was founded on December 8, 1990, by the Assembly of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, as part of the Public Institution Bijelo Polje Information Center.

In 2004, after the media transformations in Montenegro and the new Media Law, Radio Bijelo Polje became a Local Public Broadcasting Service. At that time, apart from the director, Radio had a Council of five members and a Management Board of three members as management bodies.

Since 2011, this institution changed its name to Local Public Broadcaster Radio Bijelo Polje, after the acts were harmonized with the Law on Electronic Media.

From 2025, by the decision of the founder, the Local Public Broadcaster Radio Bijelo Polje will be transferred to the Limited Liability Company, Local Public Broadcaster "Radio Bijelo Polje d.o.o."

The governing bodies are the Council of five members and the director. Currently, there are 12 full-time employees and several part-time associates hired as needed.

Today, Radio Bijelo Polje broadcasts a program 24 hours a day, including a talk program, on weekdays and weekends from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., followed by a musical night program.

With two frequencies, 101.1 MHz and 105.8 MHz, it covers the territory of Bijelo Polje, Mojkovac, Beran, and the signal also reaches Kolašin, Žabljak and Prijepolje.

Radio Bijelo Polje is characterized by informative, entertaining and musical programs.

Radio Bijelo Polje is the largest information house in Bijelo Polje, which provides its listeners with verified and timely information that is presented in an objective and professional manner.

In the news program, the place is occupied by shorter news shows, as well as shows with guests in the studio. The priority is events in our city, followed by events in Montenegro and various news from around the world. Much of the happenings in Bijelo Polje are broadcast directly by the radio or reported from the scene, so our radio listeners are always the first to be informed.
