Frequently asked questions

Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards. The Enterprise plan also supports payment via ACH or wire transfer.
Do you support invoiced or manual billing?
Yes, customers purchasing the Enterprise plan with an annual subscription of $10k or more are eligible for invoiced billing. Payments can be made by ACH or wire transfer (all via Stripe).
Are volume discounts available?
Yes. When purchasing the Enterprise plan on an annual subscription, we offer a 5% discount when purchasing 100 or more seats and a 10% discount for 200 or more seats. For quantities above 300 seats, discounts are negotiable.
How many analysis minutes do I need?
That depends on three variables that you control: The amount of code you are analyzing, the analyzers you run, and the analysis frequency. We recommend starting with the Free plan to estimate usage needs.
What if I need more analysis minutes?
Customers on the Free or Pro plans can upgrade to a higher plan to receive more analysis minutes. Customers on the Enterprise plan can buy additional analysis minutes on a pay-as-you-go basis at a rate of $0.01 per analysis minute.
Is there a discount available for yearly plans?
Yes, annual plans are priced with two months free.
Can I change or cancel my plan anytime?
Yes. You can change your plan anytime from the Billing page inside the app and we will pro-rate the adjustment. You can also cancel anytime which will take effect after the end of your current billing period.Please note that we do not offer refunds on subscription fees.
Who counts as a "contributor"?
A contributor Seat is defined as a unique user (or bot) who pushed a commit that was analyzed, uploaded code coverage, or logged into Qlty Cloud within a rolling 30-day period. Seats are identified uniquely by their GitHub login.
Do bots and AIs count as contributors?
Yes, if they open pull requests.
Do these prices include taxes?
No. Sales tax is added to invoices where applicable.
Do you offer discounts for non-profits and education?
Yes. Qlty Cloud is 10% off for registered 501(c)(3) non-profits, and 100% free for K-12 or universities as long as it is used for class work only.Please contact us to receive this benefit, and note that we cannot refund or adjust any payments that have already been made prior to the discount being applied.
What support options are available?
Customer on the Free plan received community support via Discord and GitHub on a best effort basis. Paid plans have access to email support and the Enterprise plan also offers Slack support.
Is Qlty free for open source projects?
Yes, we offer free service for community-based open source projects.
