Manage your photo library with Piwigo

We are using Piwigo to let our members spot persons and locations on old photos of our Jazz Club which has been founded in 1978. As this works over the internet, we could establish a good work-flow and keyworded almost all of our archive photos with the help of our 300 members.

I use Piwigo since Jan. 2022 to present the beautiful paintings of a good friend of mine. Before that I compared many platforms or software to realize this task and found out that Piwigo had he best and the biggest variety of technical and optical settings of all software. And it seemed to be very easy to install and to handle. After the installation and the first use at the same day I was sure to have made the right descision. I discovered Piwigo 3 years ago and, since the beginning, it was a pleasant surprise. I am using it for my private photos database on a Synology NAS, around 340 GB and 70.000 pics. Piwigo it works like a charm and it is very customizable. Due to NAS hardware limitations, I prefer to generate the thumbnails outside of Piwigo. Piwigo doesn't have a rival! Thank you, Piwigo Team!
