Is this a bug with the Comment UI Experiment?

Experiments have to be on for this to work. Screenshot:enter image description here

Yep, seems broken in the new UI. The old UI clearly recognizes it as a deleted user.

  • Same phenomenon as meta.stackexchange.com/questions/362869 and others, I assume.

  • There are a couple of other example linked from my bug report on the announcement post: meta.stackoverflow.com/a/434227.

  • The comment, to me, looks like it was created by a user that has since deleted their account (or had it deleted). It's not a recent deletion either, as they were deleted in Jan 2025 as well. How are you identifying that they are "User 0", when deleted users don't have a hyperlink on their display name.

  • What you need to do is edit your question with all the relevant information, @user7215 . Many of th regular meta users don't have experiments on because they break so much functionality. If that's required to see the problem include that. Demonstrate why they appear to be user 0.
