It is broad spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotics discovered with aim of fighting havoc of bacterial resistance. Its antibiotic spectrum covers almost all the bacteria including Clostridium diffcile and can be prescribed to immunocompromised patients suffering from cancer. The N,N-dimethyglycylamido (DMG) moiety attached to the 9-position of tetracycline ring D increases its spectrum activity. It falls under the group of protein synthesis inhibitors.

Antagonistic effect may reduce the therapeutic index of the drugs. Additive effect may sometimes cause overdose. Synergistic activity may increase the potency. This article is solely dedicated to show some of the drug interactions with antibiotics.

Plant bears feather like leaves with active ingredient concentrate in the seed mostly. Poisoning in both humans and animals are common due to the attractive appearance of the seed, shiny red color with black eye at the top. Malicious poisoning in cattle is very frequently encountered; the effected animal shows local signs of poisoning as necrosed lesions on the stabbed site. Crushed seeds when consumed, exhibits series of digestive disturbances viz. diarrhea, vomiton (in capable species) and severe dehydration to name a few. Nevertheless, the seed when taken orally also imparts to systemic toxicities with signs such as drowyness, staggering gait, coma, convulsion and death in severe cases. Line of treatment is based on the

However they rather plays a vital role to keep them safe from the hunting predators. The secretion is basically a milky color toxin which provokes neurological, haematological, cardiotoxic etc. signs in intoxicated animals and can even be fatal. The so called deadliest toxin has been widely used in traditional Chinese therapy for a number of ailments. Recent research has proved the toxin posses cardiotonic, analgesic, sedative, anti-tumour and antimicrobial activity.

Hydroethanolic extract of Alternanthera sessilis was screened for its analgesic activity by using chemical method (Acetic acid induced writhing) for its peripheral antinociceptive activity and Eddy’s hot plate method for its central antinociceptive property at two dose levels (250 mg/kg body weight and 500 mg/kg body weight). The hydroethanolic extract of Alternanthera sessilis was found to have analgesic property with varying potencies in Chemical method and Hot plate method. The result was found to be significant in both the methods.

The fruits are 4-12 cm long with round or oval shape depending on the species (red, strawberry, and off-white). The tree, which belongs to the family, Myrtaceae is chiefly grown in countries with tropical and subtropical climate. The pink variety of guava (when dissected) has the maximum medicinal values. Fruits as well as leaves has many health benefits viz, antidiarrhoeal, antihypertensive, antilipedemic, anticancer etc.

A drug-food interaction is a condition in which the food affects the activity of a drug. The change most of the time may results in detrimental effect on the patient. Therefore it is advisable for patients to follow the physician and doctors instructions to obtain maximum benefits and simultaneously to prevent such unfortunate event. This review article will provide information about such interactions and will help physicians and pharmacists prescribe drugs cautiously with only suitable food supplement to get maximum benefit for the patient.

It can also infect and cause disease in many other mammals including humans, deer, goats, pigs, cats, dogs and badgers. The disease causes military tubercles in lungs, chronic cough and enlargement of lymphnode. The standard method for detection of TB is the tuberculin test and slaughter. Disease eradication programs consisting of post mortem meat inspection, intensive surveillance including on-farm visits, systematic individual testing of cattle and removal of infected and in-contact animals as well as movement controls have been very successful in reducing or eliminating the disease.

In addition, some interviews were also conducted with village headman and villagers to gather information. The information gathered was recorded for further studies. Twenty six different indigenous medicinal plant species are being used by rural people. Among them Ananas comosus (deworming), Barleria prionitis (wounds), Psidium guajava leaves and fruit (diarrhea), Nyctanthes arbor leaves (fever), Lawsonia inermis (Jaundice) etc. are used by the villagers for the cure.
