Colors, logos, and rationale for the refreshed identity.
The brand balances clarity and confidence for long-form writing. Graphite grays keep the canvas calm and editorial, and the primary is monochrome ink drawn from the ramp itself — hierarchy comes from weight, size, and surface, never a competing hue. Color is kept for meaning: amber-gold belongs exclusively to Hashnode Pro, and a soft lavender marks Hashnode AI.
A graphite foundation carrying whisper chroma at hue 264, with amber reserved for Pro, lavender for AI, and supporting green and red states. Click any swatch to copy its Hex or OKLCH value.
We chose graphite neutrals because they keep the interface editorial and quiet, so long-form writing stays the focus while still feeling premium and precise. The ramp carries whisper chroma at hue 264, so neutrals harmonize instead of reading as default gray.
The primary is monochrome ink — near-black in light mode, near-white in dark. Buttons and links earn attention through weight, size, and tonal surfaces rather than a signature hue, which keeps every accent color meaningful: amber-gold appears only on Hashnode Pro, and lavender only on Hashnode AI.
Dark mode is designed first: a tonal ladder (page, card, popover) with hairline borders and two-layer elevation shadows gives depth without noise. Success and danger tones stay clear and trustworthy against the graphite base in both modes.
