I'm new to all this, but any reason we're not using stringifyRequest from loader-utils? The current approach results in machine-specific absolute paths in the generated bundle.

This was accomplished via a change to vue-loader's loader.js, which I've
submitted as a PR:

vuejs/vue-loader#243
